Irish Eco-friendly Apparel Brand OceanЯ Joins Forces with Four Seasons Worldwide

Eco-friendly fashion company, OceanR, has revealed its latest collaboration with the luxury hotel and resorts brand, Four Seasons. Based in Cork, Ireland and founded by keen environmentalist and water-sports obsessive Tom Cotter, OceanR has been making quiet waves within the luxury hospitality spheres thanks to its forward-thinking sustainable approach and tailored, timeless activewear designs.

Through this collaboration, OceanЯhas produced a wide variety of bespoke products for Four Seasons resorts all around the world, including Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, Four Seasons Maldives, Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas, Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita Retail, Four Seasons Anguilla and more.

As Founder Tom Cotter explains: “We are so pleased to be working closely with Four

Seasons. We feel that we share a lot of values as a company and have a very similar ethos. For example, the Four Seasons Maldives is found in the Baa Atoll UNESCO biosphere reserve and has a core mission of protecting its surrounding environment through sustainable business practices, with the resort becoming a plastic-free islandin2019. This obviously chimes very closely with our own values.”

He continues: “When they approached us, they were looking to stock sustainable product ranges in their gift shops for visitors keen on snorkelling, swimming and diving and we were more than happy to provide these. As these ranges have proven to be popular with visitors, we were really pleased to hear that they are keen to keep working with us, and will be looking to extend the offering to other locations in the Maldives, as well as developing sustainably-made clothing ranges for their staff.”

In terms of the products produced by OceanR the brief was for bespoke, high-end items that prominently featured their branding-and, vitally, that these would also include zero plastic packaging. OceanR created rash vests with high UV protection, yoga leggings and sun hats using polyester made from reclaimed ocean waste which also featured a nod to the island’s largest and best-loved inhabitant, the manta rays, as well as the Four Seasons’ recognisable tree logo.

Suhail Ali, spokesperson from Four Seasons Maldives expressed their satisfaction following the collaboration: “It was a pleasure to work with the OceanR team– from product concept to design and sampling, all the way through to customer service and the final product.” As word about the company continues to spread, OceanR is also launching other high-end collaborations within the industry including with the Ritz Carlton and Richard Branson’s Necker Island, as well as with superyachts such as Legend, Infinity, Scott Free, Nirvana and sailing yacht Endeavour.
