The Yacht Harbour Association is delighted to announce that Al Bandar Marina, situated at Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi has been awarded 5 Gold Anchors. Part of Aldar Properties, the Al Bandar project is a successful combination of housing and commercial activities; the marina just adds to this delightful mix of luxury living and leisure.
Set in the calm waters that engulf Abu Dhabi’s many islands which are perfect for watersports, Al Bandar faces Yas Island with its famous Formula1 circuit, Ferrari World theme park and family-minded water park ‘Yas Water World’. An attraction of a different kind can be discovered in the mangrove reserve nearby, which is extremely attractive for nature lovers and boaters looking for a peaceful time on the water.
Al Bandar Marina managed by ART Marine Marinas is truly a top boating destination with 177 fully serviced berths and excellent onsite facilities. The staff are extremely professional and all employees show a passion for the marine business.
“The Gold Anchor award scheme is truly aligned with our philosophy at ART Marine Marinas. We have always been supporting TYHA and the Golden Anchors initiatives as we want to make our marinas the ultimate boating destinations offering the best facilities and best services to all families and boat owners.” comments Bruno Meier, the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Marinas at ART Marine Marinas.
Al Bandar Marina is managed by Evertt Ucat who is assisted by two administrators. Evertt says of his award “Al Bandar Marina is committed to providing the highest quality facilities, customer satisfaction, and safe working environment as well the productive use of its resources. We take pride in upholding a clean, friendly and family oriented marina environment and for achieving the 5 Gold Anchors award. Moreover, this award would not be made possible without the full effort of my team and the unceasing support of the higher management”.
The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) provides support for marinas and related business throughout the UK and internationally.
The Gold Anchor Award Scheme, which has been operating for 26 years is based on the TYHA Code of Practice for the design construction and operation of marinas. Ratings range from one to five gold anchors. Any award issued is a sure sign of a credible, quality marina with the number of anchors demonstrating the facilities and standard of service available to berth holders and full compliance with statutory regulations.
The Gold Anchor scheme was awarded Green Initiative of the year 2011 by Practical Boat Owner magazine.
