The Top Marinas For Winters In Turkey

With over 40 marinas in Turkey and attractive refit facilities, Evolution Yachting has put together a list of its top recommendations of where to berth in Turkey this winter.

Milta Bodrum Marina, Bodrum Town

Bodrum Milta Marina is one of the most popular ones along the Turkish coast, and is in one of the liveliest areas of Bodrum; the city that can only be described as an exotic version of the French Riviera. With berths up to 75m, yachts will find onsite 7/24 security and healthcare services.

Crew can enjoy some retail therapy at the shopping center selling international brands and some down time at the fantastic bars and restaurants. The marina was awarded the blue flag and five gold anchor award for their high standards and commitment to the environment. The international airport, with excellent connections is 30km away.

Bodrum Yalikavak Marina, Yalikavak

As Turkey’s first high-capacity superyacht marina, Yalikavak Marina boasts an idyllic location with superb amenities and technical services. The “resort” can accommodate yachts up to 135m and has 24/7 mooring assistance, car parking, golf car shuttle, high speed internet, helipad, duty free fuel, storage lockers and a dry dock.

The surrounding Yalıkavak is steeped in history dating back to 2000 BC and home to lovely beaches and hilltop windmills. There is an open-air shopping mall with 106 shops, an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, beach hotel, a boutique hotel, and spa & fitness centre. The marina is very proactive and organizes a variety of events and activities. They were also awarded the 5 Gold Anchor Award and are a 7 Blue Flag Marina. Bodrum Milas international airport is 50km away.

Kusadasi Setur Marina, - Kusadasi, Aegean Coast

The 2 blue flag marina is on the Aegean coast, close to Ephesus, one of the best preserved and most famous ancient cities in the world. Berths are available for yachts up to 120m and there is an onsite chandlery, helipad, internet, car parking, storage facilities and waste collection onsite.

The marina boasts unrivaled natural beauty and a very rich and bustling atmosphere. Winters are warm, ideal for crew wanting to get out and make the most of their surroundings and there is crew accommodation available as well as a tennis court, yacht club, shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest airport is Adnan Menderes Airport that is 75km away.

Didim D-Marin – Didim, Aegean Coast

Didim D-Marin sits on the shores of the stunning city of Didim, and is one of the largest luxury marinas in the Eastern Med with 90 dedicated superyacht berths for yachts up to 70m. The ISPS facility is holder of 5 gold anchors and 2 blue flags, and additional services of interest include heliport, closed garages outdoor parking.

The town center is just 5 minutes from the marina and during free time there is much for crew to do whether it be cultural visits, exploring the surrounding countryside or sports. The marina is home to a yacht club, bar, restaurant, hotel and gym. Bodrum Milas International Airport is 82km away, and Adnan Menderes Airport Izmir 145km.  


Viaport Marina – Tuzla/Instanbul

Turkey's newest marina can take yachts up to 100m and holds 5 gold anchors. The secure berths are well prepared for adverse weather conditions due to it’s design and geographical location. The facility is equipped with all necessary services such as parking areas, high speed and unlimited WiFi, shops and a boat yard. Crew will have plenty to do at weekends, with the marina also being home to a shopping mall, a beautiful 150.000 m2 green area, the fastest roller coaster in Turkey, an aquarium, indoor and outdoor cinemas and a 5-star hotel. Sabiha Gökçen is just 20km away and Istanbul Airport 85km.
