Porto Maurizio is located in Imperia on the Italian Riviera, famous for its olive groves and flowers, where visitors can enjoy a slower pace of life. The area around Porto Maurizio is full of narrow alleys that open onto the harbour and clean, golden beaches; visitors can take advantage of excellent restaurants, bars and icecream parlours around the marina.

Porto Maurizio is protected by a long breakwater directed towards West-South-East and by the Pastorelli breakwater directed towards North from South: outside of this there are three warfs protected by an embankment.

Access: boats entering, especially big ones, must keep a safety distance of 40 m from the docks in order to avoid submerged reefs; boats proceeding from West must double the long dock headed by a red light 1483.
Lighthouses and beacons: 1478 (E 1156) - beacon with a isophase white light, last 4 sec., range 16 M at about 150 m from the head of the Southern dock (visible from 210° to 090°); 1480 (E 1157.2) - beacon with a steady red light, 2 vert., range 3 M at the head of the inner crest; 1483 (E 1157) - beacon with a flashing red light, last 3 sec., range 8 M at the south dock head (safety distance 50 m); 1488 (E1158) - beacon with a flashing green light, last 3 sec., range 8 M at the north dock head (visible from 252° to 044°; safety distance 30 m); 1493 (E1160) -beacon with a steady red light, range 3 M at the Molo Baburro breakwater head , at the base of dock S, visible just from the inside of the flood dock (dark from 290° to 102°).
