ACREW prepare for their first event of 2015 on Friday 27th February at the IYCA Dock in Antibes.

After 3 consecutive years successfully running the Crew Lounge in Antibes, ACREW are returning to this crew hotspot with a new event.

This one day crew professional development pop-up event offers free workshops specifically for Captains, Interior and Deck Crew. These sessions, held in a marquee on the IYCA dock, are designed to help crew gain useful skills and information to help in their daily work in their professional role.

The workshops will include a workshop on Hiring with X-Ray Vision for Captains provided by Alison Rentoul - The Crew Coach. Crew learn how to take all the risk out of hiring with innovative profile testing to help you see through to the real person underneath.

Peter Vogel from IYS will also be attending the event to provide a workshop for Interior Crew on the topic of Creating High Performing Interior Teams.

This workshop aims to make life on board easier by offering awareness of the individual development stages of your fellow peers and the matching leadership styles.

The end result is that managers and crew start speaking a common language.

Deck Crew will be offered a hands-on Ropes & Rigging workshop by Gremco. This workshop will provide an overview of different types of lines & rope and when to use them: practical demonstrations exploring the dark art of splicing and an opportunity to solve your problems and issues in a Q&A session.

As part of ACREW’s initiative to provide personal development opportunities to crew, ACREW have also invited leading financial planning and recruitment specialists to attend. Oliver Maher from United Advisers Marine & Tim Reedman from St James’s Place will be available throughout the day for private One2One appointments.

Our catering partners NEKO will be serving delicious snacks and lunch for all workshop attendees and crew visiting to speak with our onsite personal development specialists.

ACREW are also hosting a crew happy hour including free drinks & live music featuring Al Roberts from the Blah Blah’s from 17.00 - 19.00.

All crew are welcome to attend. Workshop places are strictly limited so reserve your place as soon as possible at www.acrew.com to avoid disappointment! ACREW team look forward to welcoming you there.
