Equiom's Spotlight on Customs Compliance at MYS

Edward Leigh

Equiom, the leading international yacht services provider, will again showcase its expertise at the Monaco Yacht Show from 28 September to 1 October this year. Recognised globally for delivering innovative ownership structuring solutions for yacht owners, Equiom has been a regular exhibitor at MYS since 2004.

As the first corporate service provider to attain Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status in the Isle of Man, Equiom is also recognised for its customs efficiency and streamlined importation processes.

In attendance this year will be a team of yachting experts from Equiom Group's global offices led by Yachting and Aviation Director Edward Leigh.

Edward commented, ‘Monaco is the biggest event in the yachting industry calendar providing the ideal platform to catch up with current clients as well as unrivalled access to new business opportunities. Our incredibly strong team of yachting, VAT and customs experts will be on hand to meet with yacht owners, brokers and their advisers to provide specialist advice.

I’m sure the key topic of conversation will be our recently acquired AEO status and the benefits this can provide to clients. I am also anticipating many questions in relation to the potential impact of Brexit. Equiom’s continued presence in the EU via our Malta office should provide significant reassurance to some clients in this respect.’

The Monaco Yacht Show was originally established in 1991 and attracts the biggest and best from the global superyacht industry. This year’s event will feature over 580 exhibiting companies and industry partners, including worldclass shipyards, yacht designers, brokerage houses, marine suppliers, luxury goods and services providers.
